Christina and Jerome’s Engagement Photos

Christina Picks Maymont Park

Nestled in your typical suburban/city neighborhood lies Maymont Park on the outskirts of Richmond, Va.  Turning and wandering through the maze that is Richmond I finally found it.  Unassuming is the the presence of it’s grandeur as I parked to gather my gear and walk in.

I did a recon before Christina and Jerome arrived to get a feel of what I was going to encounter as far as background was concerned, also lighting but not as much important at the time; they were so photogenic that I could have taken the photos with a single light bulb, but I digress.

The park was absolutely beautiful!  “Jackpot”, I thought as I readied my equipment for the different lighting situations.

I then got the call from Christina letting me know that she and Jerome were close by.   I tore myself away from the technicalities of photography wishing I had a few more hours, but alas I had to meet my clients as the time had drawn nigh.

They were ready to go when I met them outside of the park, matching outfits and all.  With the great personalities this couple had along with their resolve of knowing what they wanted and had previously seen the park, I knew that today was gonna be a good photography day.  They were totally open for my ideas and had some of their own in mind as well (which I encourage).

Through the winding trails of the park we went through an Italian Garden, Japanese Garden, Arboretum, and Specialty Gardens, and captured indelible images that will not soon be forgotten.  Throughout it all they remained focused on what they wanted and I was happy to be there photographing every moment. Even through the extreme heat and humidity we endured, they were an awesome couple to have had the chance to photograph and can’t wait to do it again when they get married.
